This is an antique optometrist's skiascope rack. A French, ebony and glass optical instrument, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

- Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
- Tactile ebony body presents dark hues with shaped edges
- Twenty four glass diopters, each in very good order
- Each rack with a plus or minus magnification from 0.50 to 10
- Maker's marks to either side of handle for Giroux of Paris
