This is an antique gun slip case. An English, leather leg of mutton shotgun or rifle sleeve, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Superb, antique country pursuits gun case in traditional form
- Displays a desirable aged patina an din good original order
- Quality leather in deep caramel hues and a lightly time worn appearance
- Replete with carry handle, and an adjustable shoulder strap
- Case secured by a sliding brass clasp behind a protective cover strap
- Dual division interior, to accommodate the stock and barrel respectively
- Interior finished in a Royal Blue baize, aged commensurate with use
- Embossed with the Army & Navy Stores Co-operative Society roundel
- Unmarked as such, but of similar size to the 'Hurlingham' model
