Vintage '60s Dominoes Set

This is a superior quality set of vintage Etienne Aigner Dominoes.
Dating to c.1960 the set is complete and hosted in the original, oak box encased in their signature 'antic' red leather and bearing an embossed monogram and the 'A' horseshoe logo on the press stud.
The dominoes bear a luxurious feel in a two part, monochromatic construction offset with brass detail.
About AignerBorn in 1904 in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Ìätienne Aigner learned his trade as a book binder but was soon commissioned to create custom, hand made leather pieces of haute couture for Parisian boutiques. In 1950 he moved to New York and established his own high end brand producing luxury goods including handbags, wallets, luggage and leather accessories and replicated the business back in Munich, Germany.
