This is an antique, Victorian sideboard/dresser base dating to c.1900.
A fabulous, country kitchen piece, this sideboard has been constructed in solid English oak with good grain detail displaying medullary rays, a lustrous, waxed, honey hue finish and a desirable aged patina.
Raised on a deep plinth base with concave moulding, twin pairs of arched form, field panel doors conceal generous storage with full width removable shelves to each side.
Above the cupboards, a pair of utility drawers flank a full width central drawer each dressed with solid brass pulls on splayed, pierced back plates are complimented by brass keyhole linings. The drawers offering unusually deep, 16cm (6.25"), storage.
The clean, expansive top displays good grain detail and is finished with a modest edge moulding. The sides showing equally well and finished with a panelled back for good measure.
A superb piece of country furniture offering beauty and utility. Delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
