This is a very large, 8' tall, antique, pine dresser dating to the late Victorian period c.1875.
With very generous proportions this substantial dresser offers plenty of storage in a fine country piece of furniture.
Three wide drawers sit above four, field panel, cupboard doors, all dressed with turned pulls and edge scribed around the apertures. Inside the cupboards the space is divided with a single shelf.
The broad counter overhangs the cupboards and provides a firm and sturdy platform for the immense board-backed, upper section, complete with two shelves and hooks for mugs. The flared side panels and upper pelmet shaped with semi-circular decoration. The cornice subtly delineated with a dentil moulding.
The rich honey hues of the antique pine are a delight on this provincial piece and carry a desirable aged patina. Delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
