This is a solid bronze mooring bitt or bollard. A very heavy ship, or boat, capstan dating to the 20th century.

Extremely heavy at 41Kg (90lbs) and 35.5cm (14 inches) high
Cast in solid bronze with amazing verdigris patina
Would polish bright if required (see base picture)
Flared arms for easy rope location
Stout mounting plate with four large bolt holes
