Set of 4 Victorian Spindle Back Chairs, Oak c.1900
Our Stock # LFA-1390
This is a set of four antique, Victorian dining chairs dating to c.1900.
Heralding from the Lancashire / Cheshire area, this set of four chairs display all the characteristics of the style first introduced in the late 18th century.
The classic double row of spindles are mounted in rails between the round stiles, the crest rail shaped and simply dished.
A plain rear and double side stretcher along with the turned front stretcher add strength to the form and unite the tapering, circular section legs that terminate on pad on ball front feet.
The cord rush seats contrast with the dark oak frames offering a comfortable rest.
A fine example of their type, solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
