This is a pair of antique bowling woods. An English, hardwood lawn bowls ball by Taylor Rolph, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920.
- Fascinating pair of numbered and personalised woods
- Displaying a desirable aged and play-worn patina throughout
- Hardwood shows fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
- Decorated with carved circular patterns
- Of Number 1 and Number 2 bias, annotated upon a circular medallion
- Each ball accentuated with an inlaid white metal shield
- Presented to a J Llewelyn in 1922 at the Cyfartha Castle Bowling Club, Wales
- Balls crafted by Taylor Rolph Co. Ltd, London
