This is a large vintage Hamadan hall carpet. A Persian, quality lounge or hallway rug, dating to the mid 20th century, circa 1950.
- Ideal for the spacious room or reception at 183cm (72'') x 397cm (156.25'')
- Displays a desirable aged patina - light sun fading and minimal signs of wear under close inspection
- Quality woven pile with predominantly blue and red dyed wools
- Offers a comfortable underfoot feel to any room
- Large trio of blue shields host red octagonal foliate medallions
- Each issuing flowering vines in an array of colourful hues
- Narrow tramline borders with triangular segments alternating with each medallion and to corners
- Bands of short tassels at one end in good order
