This is an exceptional quality large, extending, walnut dining table, a 6-12 seater, English, made in the late 20th century.
- Delightful piece in well figured, book matched walnut
- Good consistent colour in a fine waxed finish
- A pair of extension leaves, similarly with good colour and graining
- The top cross-banded and bordered with boxwood and ebony string detail
- Generous edge moulding over banded apron
- Seats six without leaves and up to twelve adding leaves
- Raised on gently tapering, oblong section columns
- Canted corners, collar moulding and stepped, flared mount
- Hyperboloid platforms stand upon robust, carved scrolled feet over solid brass castors
