This is a large antique sideboard. A French, bow-fronted oak buffet cabinet of country house proportions at over 8 feet long, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1900. 

• Select oak displays warm caramel hues in a wax polished finish
• Fine grain interest with wisps of medullary rays
• Good consistent colour and a desirable aged patina
• Richly decorated with carved detail

• Attractive parquetry features on the wide counter top with shaped edge moulding
• A suite of four drawers compliment four opening cupboards beneath
• Dressed with solid brass handles with foliate terminals

• Each cabinet presented with shaped, relief field panels
• Brass escutcheons to each door, with working, double-throw locks, complete with key
• Continuous swagged apron centres upon a carved shell motif
• Raised upon cabriole legs to the front, with square section rear legs
