This is a large antique ceremonial dinner gong. An English, oak and bronze framed chime, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Generously sized dinner gong within a quality frame
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Select oak stocks shows rich caramel hues and fine grain interest
- Replete with cork striker, dressed with leather hanging loop
- Hand-beaten brass gong shows great patination with domed centre
- Gong suspended beneath the frame with quality leather cord
- Raised upon a pair of shaped trestle feet with arched centres
- Serpentine stretcher rails unite the support stands above and below
