This is a framed, classic Cornish landscape oil painting by the renowned marine and equine artist David Chambers. 'Porthminster's Edge' is an original, oil on board painting from David’s recent collection. 

A wonderfully lugubrious sky rests over Porthminster Beach, in St. Ives Cornwall. A small ship is beached at the water's edge as a crowd gathers to watch the crew's attempt to reunite the vessel with the sea. The waves crash against the shoreline and crest just in front of the ship, whilst Cornwall's famous coastal waters show a hint of their aqua blue self to the right of the frame. At the rear of the beach, a couple of safely stowed ships reside in front of the headland, resplendent with buildings of varying heights.
