This is an antique torchere. An English, mahogany plant stand or jardiniere, dating to the William IV period and later, circa 1830.

- Displaying a desirable aged patina with minimal signs of wear under close inspection
- Select mahogany offers fine grain interest and deep russet hues beneath a wax polish finish
- Elegantly carved supports impress with twist reeded and fluted turnings
- Later, deeply tiered torchere stand suitable for lamps or jardiniere
- Carved collar decorated with foliate leaf patterns, framed with broad ring turns
- Square pedestal with frieze panel carvings beneath the dashing turned column
- Standing upon a tiered base with gentle chamfering
