This is an antique tea spoon service. An English, silver cutlery case with sugar tongs by W.S. Savage & Co. of Sheffield, dated by hallmark to 1917.
- Thirteen quality pieces presented within an upholstered case
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Quality Sheffield silver displays minimal tarnish throughout
- The case interior dressed with dark blue velour and silk cotton in light cream
- Twelve hallmarked spoons decorated with a fine foliate pattern
- Corresponding pattern applied delicately to the sugar tongs
- Maker's mark reads 'WSS & Co' for WS Savage & Co, of Sheffield
- The hallmark bears the Lion Passant, the crown of Sheffield's assay office and the 'Z' of 1917
