This is an antique side table with carved decoration in English oak dating to March 1908.
- Warm hues and a desirable aged patina in the wax polished finish
- Inscribed with the maker's name 'R Pike Mar 1908'
- The top with moulded edge detail, features a well carved geometric design
- Reciprocating foliate lunette border
- Frame intertwining central opposed stylised motifs
- A plain frieze to blocked corners
- Aesthetically pleasing bobbin turned legs
- Over foliate carved blocks standing upon bun feet
Delightful to have a provincial artisan's name to bring the history to life. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
