This is an antique serpentine foot stool. An English, walnut fireside rest, dating to the Regency period, circa 1830.
- Superb quality, with generous proportion and striking wavy edge
- Rare and interesting at over 4-and-a-half feet long
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Walnut frame shows fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
- Soft brushed needlepoint decoration to the traditionally stuffed and webbed cushion
- Sinuous front apron accentuated with carved flowerhead motif
- Raised upon a quartet of delightful, squat cabriole legs
