This is an antique Putti jardiniere. An Italian, gilt metal and ceramic planter vase in urn form, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Grand scale and wonderfully classical decorations
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Gilt metal over ceramic urn with a rich cobalt blue ground
- Superb weight in the hand at 6.825kg (15.04 lb)
- Forlorn angels sit with their head in hands around the lobed rim
- Highly detailed relief foliate garlands adorn the front and rear fascia
- Loop handles pass through lion head masks to each side
- Standing upon a plinth foot, dressed with a protective cushion pad
