This is an antique prie dieu chair, a 19th century, Regency chair in walnut. Ideal as a bedroom side chair and dating to c.1820.
- The walnut displaying good colour and grain interest
- Raised upon well formed reeded and flared, turned front legs
- Swept square section legs to the rear and riding upon ceramic castors all round
- Carved interest to the stiles and upper brackets
- Professionally upholstered in a quality cloth with brocade trim
- A warm palette displaying bands of stylised foliate detail
- Well sprung and traditionally stuffed with padded back and crest rail
- Presenting a show back; Ideal for centre room placement
