This is an antique occasional table. An Oriental, Chinese elm coffee or lamp stand in strong Moorish taste, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
- Ornate folding table with superb colour and detail
- Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
- Burnt red hues to the lacquered Chinese elm table top and legs
- Two piece, folding design well suited to occasional use
- Circular table top with bevelled edge and decorated with panels of animal icons
- Central medallion resplendent with a grand rooster motif
- Similar decoration is found upon each panel of the folding stand
- Standing upon folding legs fascinatingly carved into the shape of minarets
