This is an antique mirrored corner shelf. An English, gilt gesso and glass decorative display or candle stand, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

Eye-catching form and finish to this appealing example of Regency craftsmanship
Displaying a desirable aged patina - some small losses to observe under close inspection
Gilt gesso frame offers ornately carved motif and rich golden tones
Desirably foxed, the original mirror plate offers character and a clear bright reflection

Of serpentine tapering form and arranged as a trio of display shelves
Scrolled forms to the surmount sit above a central plume of feathers carving
Chased egg and dart carvings decorate the frame to each side and the central spar

Egg and dart pattern repeated in smaller form to each shelf edge
Quartet of small brass mounting loops aid wall hanging
