This is an antique marimbaphone. An English, brass and oak decorative musical instrument, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
- A striking, concussive idiophone with beautiful harmonics and quality finish
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
- Polished brass bars show rich golden tones, with quality knurled caps
- Dashing oak stocks present fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
- Five bar marimbaphone scale, with resonance pipes set below
- Plays wonderfully dulcet tones, with a delicate sustain
- Supplied with a heavy and soft striking mallet
- Useful under tier unites the slender, gently splayed legs
