This is a quality antique linen press cupboard. An English, walnut gentleman's cabinet by Hewetson & Milner of London, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1890. 

• A cabinet of the first order, with imperious craftsmanship throughout
• Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
• Superb walnut stocks offer fine grain interest and luxuriant caramel hues

• Prominent crown moulding stands above the delightful whole
• Pair of field doors dressed with a drop handle over a brass lock escutcheon — untested, key absent
• Impressively thick doors open to a quartet of press slides
• Four drawers to base arranged two over two, with brass lock escutcheons — keys absent

• Each dressed with original brass drop handles over pierced backplates
• Upper right drawers graced with an engraved maker's mark
• Mark reads 'Hewetson & Milner, London, Tottenham Court Road'
• Standing upon a stout, continuous plinth foot
