This is an antique joiner's chest. An English, pine craftsman's trunk, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
- Stout chest with Victorian appeal - ideal for use as coffee table
- Displays a desirable aged patina
- Dark stained pine with consistent finish throughout
- Copious dovetail joints add strength
- Hand-painted with the initials T.P.H. to lid and front fascia in crimson red
- Braced lid opens smoothly on a pair of long strap brackets
- Sliding and removable tool tray sits above the interior
- Working, inset brass-lined lock — key present
- Dressed with a pair of iron loop handles with shaped backplates
