This is a charming, English oak, antique side table dating to the turn of the 19th century, circa 1800.
- Displaying an aged patina and good grain in the warm tones of the English oak
- The top decorated with a carved three-quarter border of stylised foliate detail
- To the centre, a diamond foliate carving typical of the period
- Raised on ring turned legs terminating in later ball feet
- United by a box stretcher decorated with typical lunette carvings
- Lunette carvings repeated on the frieze drawer dressed with turned pulls
A delightful country piece full of charm, ideal as a side or hall table. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
