This is an antique, French oak two door cabinet dating to the early 20th century c.1910.
A fine example well executed in quality oak, this modest little cupboard is raised on bun feet to the fore and bracket feet behind. The lower, breakfront plinth base, topped with concave moulding, supports a pair of opposing, mirrored reel and barley twist columns.
The upper frieze offers a quarter round drawer in stout stock decorated with fluted detail and dressed with a brass drop pull. Below a pair of field panel doors enclose a useful cupboard space fitted with a shelf dividing the space in two.
The top is in clean good order with a moulded edge and displays good grain detail and patina.
A useful small cupboard with solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
