This is an antique folding table, a Dutch piece from Friesland in the North West Region of the Netherlands. In oak, a ship's, tavern or campaign table from the 19th century circa 1880.

Fine Dutch styling presented in good antique condition
Solid oak top in octagonal form with foliate carved border
Grain interest and good colour in the lustrous wax polished finish

Raised on splayed, square section legs with fluted detail
United by foliate carved stretchers with wavy line gate leg
Standing upon bulbous turned lower legs, ringed with plum feet
Easy to use folding system allows economical storage when not in use

The quality oak displays very well. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
