This is a large antique floorstanding dinner gong. An English, oak frame with stout bronze ceremonial cymbal, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

Of generous proportion and decorative appeal
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Select oak stocks shows deep russet hues and fine grain interest
Cork striker dressed with leather hanging loop

Substantial brass gong shows great patination and hand-beaten charm
Gong suspended beneath the frame with quality leather cord upon circular mounts
Raised upon two pairs of splayed feet with block toes beneath turned cup detail
United from side to side with a broad, turned stretcher rail

This is an attractive antique floorstanding dinner gong, with a dulcet ring and presented within a distinguished show frame. Delivered waxed, polished and ready to strike.
