This is an antique fire basket, a Victorian iron grate on andirons dating to c.1900.

Magnificent, large, deep fire basket in heavy and strong wrought iron
Lattice of bars, riveted at the joints, topped with pointed finish
Removable ash bars in the bottom for easy cleaning

Raised on a pair of striking andirons
Scrolled feet to the front supporting helical twist stems
Rising to tulip mounts enclosing balls

A commanding piece suitable for all fuel types. Delivered ready for the home.
