This is an antique decorative jardiniere. A Chinese, ceramic planter on stand, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Enthusiastically finished with superb Chinese decorative appeal
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order - two small paint repairs present
- White ceramic profusely decorated with a palette of colourful detail
- Panels to each fascia set within a black foliate border
- Female figures sit beneath a cherry blossom tree to the front and rear
- Each side panel decorated with a bouquet of flowers visited by a bird of paradise and butterflies
- The shaped stand presents a distinctive top surface, with its detailed wild scene
- Character marks adorn the base of the planter and stand respectively
