This is an antique country house dinner gong. An English, bobbin turned oak chime frame, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.

Fascinatingly decorative gong, with a pleasing tone
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Oak frame a treat of bobbin turning and superb colour
Quality bronze gong displays a lightly time worn appearance

Charming shaped upper hosts a trio of small turned finials
Suspended upon leather straps, the gong sits neatly within the frame
Cloth covered striker, creating a pleasing, vibrato chime
Standing upon a pair of shaped trestle legs with four ball feet
