This is an antique country house bookcase. A Scottish, oak library book cabinet in Gothic revival taste, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
- Superb Scottish oak presents fine grain interest and medullary rays
- Rich caramel hues accentuate the beautifully figured stocks
- Fascinating arrangement with shelves across the front and to each end
- Exceptional carved upper apron with chased oak leaf relief in the Gothic manner
- Bold pilasters to each side, adorned with leaf bulb motif
- Lower apron adorned with demi-lune carved patterns
