This is an antique corner whatnot. An English, light oak display cabinet, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.
- Resplendent with light stocks, and appealing detail
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Select oak with medium biscuit hues shows fine grain interest
- Enthusiastically turned and carved detail catches the eye
- Shaped back stand with serpentine scrolled form stands above a useful display surface
- Gallery middle with barley twist supports offers a bright, open space
- Arranged with a pair of cabinet doors presenting field panels with relief cabochon to centre
- Each door dressed with small brass drop handles and inset, working locks — key present
- Opening to reveal a full-width shelf, intersected with a pattern carved support
- The whole stands upon a trio of bun feet beneath a front apron
