This is an antique chiffonier sideboard, an English, oak credenza buffet cabinet, displaying gothic overtones and dating to circa 1880.

Of quality craftsmanship in well figured English oak
Displaying wisps of medullary rays in the wax polished finish
Tram line reeded decoration and raised on bracketed plinth base

Mirror back beneath upper galleried shelf
Supported on turned and tapered pillars

A pair of drawers dressed with brass pulls
Original locks present to drawers with key absent
Beneath a pair of triple panel doors closing with a later twist catch
Inside the space divided by a single shelf
