This is an antique cheese keeper. An English, ceramic butter dome with historical print, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1900.

Charming example of flow blue decor, established in the Potteries of England
Displays a desirable aged patina - free of marks or losses
Graced with rich blue decor upon the white ground
Profuse with fascinating detail - ideal as a centrepiece

Dome top adorned with a squat finial handle, awash with cobalt blue
Continental town square scene accentuates the dome and plate
Indistinct maker's mark to base in the Stoke on Trent, 'Potteries' manner
