This is an antique carriage chest, a Victorian pitch pine, metal bound trunk dating to circa 1900.

Solid pitch pine with a dark stained finish
Raised on a pair of sleds and metal bound for strength
Loop drop handles to either end for carrying
Riveted hinges and lock plates for strength
Stout iron latch with bolt holes for added security
Inside offering abundant storage
