This is an antique bi-fold decorative screen. An English, walnut and silk two panel divider, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1850.
- Delightful early Victorian craftsmanship with a charming appearance
- Displaying a desirable aged patina, lightly timeworn commensurate with age
- Select walnut stocks to the frame with turned finials and leg motif
- Deep russet hues and fine grain interest accentuate the frame
- Folding upon the centre axis and adjustable through 180 degrees
- Scenes of birds amongst foliage adorn the front panels
- The reverse dressed in deep plum coloured silk cotton
- Can be folded outright for use as a distinctive, single bed headboard
