This is a set of four antique dining room chairs. An English, mahogany seat in the Chippendale manner, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.

• Superb Chippendale revival chairs, with appealing upholstery and generous width
• Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order - one small mark to cushion
• Select stocks show fine grain interest and craftsmanship
• Deep caramel hues beam beneath a wax polish finish
  
  
• Elegant foliate carving to the cresting rail, with scrolled leaf detail to the distinctive 'ears'
• Striking, pierced ribbon back splat with quarterfoil fretwork in the Chippendale manner
• Quality, later upholstery in good order with a drop-in seat cushion at a comfortable height of 46cm (18")
• Raised upon reeded square section front legs, gently splayed to the rear and united by double stretcher rails
