This is an antique ballot box. An English, rosewood and boxwood inlaid voting or post box, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Select rosewood shows fine grain interest and deep russet hues
- Appealing contrast to the rich caramel coloured boxwood inlays
- Pair of post slots within the lid, 90mm x 160mm in size (3.5" x 6.25")
- Attractive diamond shaped inlay with brass lined lock – untested, key absent
- Eye-catching interior lined with later textured paper with foliate pattern
- Dressed to the base with a protective baize
