This is a small antique ornamental Grand Tour Vase. An Italian, bronze decorative dish similar to the Warwick Vase, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
- Delightfully aged with superb detail and Roman interest
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Lightly aged, cast bronze exterior presents deep golden tones
- Crafted in the manner of the Roman 'Warwick Vase'
- Chased bead and horseshoe motif accentuates the rim edge
- Four relief cast masks decorate each side, creating a prominent fascia to the tapering dish
- Superb twisted vine handles show appealing detail, dressed with foliate mounts
- Raised upon a circular foot, dressed with a protective leather pad
