This is set of 6 antique botanist's specimens. An English, mounted dried grass display, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1850.
- Nicely preserved mid 19th century plant life, with appealing presentation
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order behind clear glass
- Skilfully dried in period and mounted within tasteful, later frames
- Six different specimens present, each annotated with its Latin name
- Also annotated with the date of gathering, between 1842 and 1849
- Samples noted as being gathered in Kew Gardens and Asia
- Dressed to the rear with mounting cups for ease of hanging
