This is an antique gentleman's travelling box. An Anglo-Indian, teak and brass bound correspondence case, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

- Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
- Select teak shows fine grain interest and deep caramel hues
- Accentuated with brass bound corners, showing golden tones
- Attractive inlaid lid, with a boxwood shield form surrounding a brass quarterfoil
- To the reverse, an original mirror plate presents a clear, bright reflection
- The mirror lifts to reveal a suite of document slides, held securely by a sliding clasp
- Glass door lifts open to reveal a small selection of storage trays
- Decorated with small pierced brackets, the front tray lifts out for ease of access
- Dressed to the front fascia with an inset quaterfoil lock escutcheon — key absent
