This is an antique folding colonial tea table. An Anglo-Indian, teak occasional or side table in the campaign manner, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1870.
- Enthusiastically pierced fretwork upon a striking octagonal folding form
- Displaying a desirable aged patina in good order throughout
- Quality teak stocks present deep chestnut hues
- Lift-off top with folding legs for ease of stowage, in the campaign manner
- Ornate leaf carvings accentuate all surfaces with skilful aplomb
- The top hosting a foliate medallion with a surrounding chased vine pattern
- Eight superb fretwork panels show carved leaf and berry motif
- Further budding leaf patterns decorate the fascia across each leg
