This is an antique planter stand. A Chinese, rosewood and marble jardiniere stand or lamp table, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
- Of squat proportion and profusely carved
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Select carved stocks present deep russet hues
- Raised circular top accentuated with a rouge marble inlay
- Tasteful gadrooned edge to the top with quartered surround
- Pierced fretwork adorns the shoulder, with scrolled foliate decor
- Quartet of squat cabriole legs with superb lion paw feet
- Decorative under tier unites each leg
