This is an antique double lip toddy spoon. An English, silver serving ladle, dating to the Georgian period, hallmark for 1772.
- Fascinating example of Georgian decorative tableware
- Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
- Hallmarked silver shows bright tones with enthusiastic relief patterns
- Cornucopia motif and vine leaves decorate the distinctive spoon
- Slender, tapering rosewood handle shows fine grain interest and deep russet hues
- Personally engraved with the initials S P I P
- Maker's mark for William Kinman (1728-1788)
- Hallmark with Lion Passant, Crowned Leopard and partial 1772 'R'
This is a superb antique double lipped toddy spoon, with fine provenance. William Kinman of London was noted for his fine silver sword hilts in the late 18th century. Delivered polished and ready to enjoy.
