This is an antique Art Nouveau ink well. A French, pewter decorative pen tray, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Wonderful example from the appealing Art Nouveau period
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Pewter tray presents a fine decorative form
Quality glass ink well with pewter lid and triangular faceted finish

Ink well sits neatly within a circular mount, adorned with a ruffled leaf motif
Scallop shell detail to each end, the prominent left hand side with further scroll detail
Maker's name inscribed to the left for A. Bossu - a prolific craftsman of ink wells in the period
Standing upon quartet of shaped and nicely detailed short legs

This is a striking antique Art Nouveau ink well, with an appealing decorative appearance and cool, tactile pewter form. Delivered ready for the desktop.
