This is an antique helmet scuttle. An English, copper fireside coal or log bucket, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.
- Hand-beaten, eye-catching and delightfully patinated scuttle
- Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
- Copper presents amber hues and benefits from not being over-polished
- Rolled handle clamped with shaped and bonded keepers
- Attractive rear handle over dashing backplate, engraved with 16
- Raised upon a tapering cylindrical foot
