This is an antique decorative fire back. An English, cast iron fireplace backrest, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.

Pleasingly cast with a mounted rider and old English motif
Displays a desirable aged patina throughout
Cast iron presented with a quality, consistent graphite finish
Central panel presents a horse rider with flag aloft
Lion's head masque, dragon figures and decorative grapes add further detail
