This is a wide antique taxidermy dome. An English, glass over ebonised mahogany specimen or ornament showcase, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1870.

Usefully broad in diameter, offering generous space for medium size specimens
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Tall dome offers a quality, bright appearance
Dressed with a suede leather cushion pad in a tasteful off-white hue
Circular base raised upon a trio of squat bun feet
