This is a tall antique collector's dome. An English, glass and ebonised pine taxidermy or specimen showcase, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.

Delightful Victorian example, with an ideal proportion for desk or mantle display
Presenting a desirable aged patina and in good original order throughout
Generously sized dome with a tall proportion and clear, bright glass
Cushion pad to the centre, dressed in a pleasing red suede leather covering
Raised upon an ebonised base with a trio of small bun feet
